Next-generation sequencing (NGS) library preparation is a critical workflow that advances scientific discovery and drug development. At SLAS, we were excited to introduce the next generation of our bead-based clean up technology: theG.PURE GEN 2.
Designed to simplify what has traditionally been a slow, manual purification process, the G.PURE GEN 2 enables scientists to automate bead-based clean ups with speed, precision, and scalability, processing up to 384 samples at a time.
At SLAS, Bero Bressler highlighted the system’s enhanced capabilities in automating library preparation purification. In high-throughput workflows, magnetic bead-based clean ups can be labor-intensive and prone to variability. The G.PURE GEN 2 addresses these challenges with fast, precise, and reproducible purification, combining centrifugal force for supernatant removal with tipless liquid handling for elution dispensing.
Compared to manual pipetting in a 96-well plate, which uses an average of 576 pipette tips per plate, the G.PURE GEN 2 can process the same workflow up to 80% faster with zero disposable tips. By significantly reducing consumable use while maintaining high-quality results, the system helps laboratories improve efficiency and sustainability over time.
